Enhance Your Beauty with Rhinoplasty in Dubai

In today’s day and age, beauty no longer lies in the eye of the beholder. Instead, it emanates from within - a heady cocktail of self-esteem, confidence and the zeal to impress. Aesthetically enhancing one’s beauty, therefore, is a part of one’s personal resolve to amaze.

Take rhinoplasty for example. It is just one among the gamut of cosmetic surgeries available, albeit sought after the world over. Popularly known as a ‘nose job’, the procedure itself dates back to the days of yore. In fact, the term ‘rhinoplasty’ (derived from the Greek words 'rhis', meaning 'nose', and 'plassein' meaning ‘to shape’) came to be associated with the plastic repair of broken noses, as documented in transcripts found in ancient Egypt and India. Today, the procedure is essentially employed to either reconstruct, enhance, or restore the functions of the nose. Rhinoplasty is also widely used to resolve severe nasal injuries or congenital defects.

Its hand in aesthetic enhancement, however, is what has appealed to people from all walks of life. From the galaxy of stars on the silver screen, to the person you might have just crossed paths with down the street, rhinoplasty will most probably have been their choice to tweak their image. While this procedure does not involve the creation of a new nose, it most certainly can straighten a crooked one, widen it, improve its tip, remove a bump in it and even make it facially proportionate.

Rhinoplasty is carried out on the inside of the nose. It involves separating the skin and tissues from the nasal framework, making the required corrections, and then suturing the incisions made. The corrected nose is finally supported by a stent to ensure proper healing after the procedure. Although a marked improvement in facial features is noticed about a week after the surgery, the intended result is gradual, and may take weeks or even months to emerge.

Recovery from the surgery is also fairly quick. Bruising around the eyes, though common in rhinoplasty procedures, usually clears up within a week with the help of medication, by which time you are up and about…ready to resume life as you know it.

Aesthetic enhancement, coupled with quick recovery and pronounced outcomes is what has added to the popularity of rhinoplasty. So, who nose what’s best for you? You most certainly do!

Exploring Amsterdam

Many travellers are realizing that there is more to Amsterdam than the cannabis culture, the Red Light District and the party atmosphere. Amsterdam took shape as a small fishing village sometime in the 12th century and rapidly grew into a vital port during the Dutch Golden Age. From the 19th century, Amsterdam expanded quickly as a result of some nifty town planning. World War II saw the deportation of more than 50,000 dutch Jews to concentration camps including the well known Anne Frank and her family.

Near the end of the war, communication had broken down within the Netherlands and people started to spread out into the countryside to forage food and fuel. The trees were cut down for fuel and the apartments of the deported Jews were ransacked for supplies. A pall of gloom had descended upon the city by the end of the war.

  The Comeback
Once the war ended, plans was underway to improve the facade of the city by incorporating new parks, office buildings and widening the streets. Today, Amsterdam is home to world class museums, beautiful canals and is considered to be one of the top financial centers in Europe. The sprawling city with its network of canals, green spaces and historical buildings is a city explorer's dream come true. Foodies will be impressed with the diversity of restaurants due to its large multicultural population. Don't miss the local specialties like Dutch cheese and bitterballen. Add to this a vibrant nightlife comprising of breweries, nightclubs and pubs and you are guaranteed to be entertained in this beautiful city.

What to See?

The Canals :- The canals are easily the best part about Amsterdam and is the perfect place to start your tour of the city. They were built during the 17th century for transport and water management. There are primarily three canals in the city : Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht that form a concentric belt around the city. The city has more than 100 km of canals and a whopping 1,500 bridges and 1,500 buildings. You can explore the canals either by boat, walking or as most travellers seems to prefer, by bicycle.

Museums :- Amsterdam has a huge collection of impressive museums that many travel to the city with the sole intention of checking them out. The largest and most impressive of the lot is the Rijksmuseum that hosts a collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Era, most by Rembrandt and Vermeer. The Van Gogh Museum houses 200 paintings and some 500 sketches which depict Van Gogh in various moods. This is the biggest collection of  Van Gogh in the world and even include select works of his friends and contemporaries. Another museum worth checking out it is the Rembrandt House Museum which reproduces the atmosphere of the artist's residence. The Stedelijk Museum is dedicated to contemporary art and design and houses works of Willem de Kooning, Andy Warhol and Malevich.

Oude Kerk :- Dating back to around 1250 and curiously located in the Red Light District, this is the oldest church and the oldest building in Amsterdam. The building has undergone multiple renovations but thankfully, a few features like the beautiful hand painted wooden roof and stained glass windows are retained.

Red Light District :- Easily the most talked about of Amsterdam's landmark and no trip to the city would be complete without a walk through the area. Much of the stereotypes you have heard about the place is true, the district is swamped with sex shops, peep shows, brothels and prostitutes in red lit windows. The area is swarmed by tourists and there are always cops in all corners but certain areas of the district are a tad seedier and is best not ventured alone.

Other notable sights include the Vondelpak, the Heineken brewery, Westrkerk and Single Flower Market.

Getting there

Schiphol Airport serviced by more than 100 different airline carriers is the major entry point to Amsterdam. The international air tickets to Amsterdam is fairly inexpensive from European cities, but its a good idea to check multiple portals before you book air tickets.

The Mystical Nubra Valley

Ladakh is amongst the most stunning spots on the Indian side of the Himalayas. Wedged between Pakistan, China , India and Tibet, Ladakh forms the eastern part of the disputed state of Jammu & Kashmir. Far north of Leh, Ladakh's capital lies a stunning piece of enclave flanked by rugged mountains which is known as Nubra Valley. Often abbreviated simply as Nubra, the region comprises of two valleys: Nubra and Shyok. The rivers of the two valleys rise amidst the remote and massive glaciers of the Karakoram Range. The Nubra and Shyok join at the region's heart,Diskit and then flows into Pakistan to join the Indus.

Locals in the region once led a prosperous life due to trans-Himalayan trade that originated with the Silk road. On a map Ladakh seem almost impenetrable thanks to towering mountains, deep valleys and sprawling hinterlands with not a soul in sight. Yet for centuries, caravans loaded with wool, opium, spices, corals, turquoise and gold negotiated several trade routes between Leh and Yarkand (China). The withering trade breathed its last in the 50s when China sealed its borders. What followed was a dark period of obscurity plagued by geo-political spasms and the area is still marked as a sensitive border.

However, of late, tourism is gradually picking up in the region with many visitors to Laddish going the extra mile to visit Nubra. The J&K SRTC and several private agencies operates bus service from Leh to Diskit and to other parts of Nubra Valley. You can do online bus tickets booking for most of them. Make sure to check multiple portals before you do your bus ticket booking.

Unfortunately, much of the famed features of Nubra remain largely out of reach for the average traveller. Case in point is the Siachen Glacier - the world's second longest glacier outside the polar regions - which is not reachable unless you embark on a full fledged expedition. Siachen was once referred to as the world's highest battlefield with India and Pakistan skirmishing in the 6000 m plus altitude glacier, but a ceasefire has been enforced since 2003. Far more interesting to the average traveller to Nubra would be the world's highest motorable road. Rising steadily out of Leh, the road passes the Khardung La pass at 5602 m and plunges into the Shyok Valley passing through khardung village, quaint hamlets and fields. Almost all of Nubra's settlement occupy land perched on the rivers.

What to See?

Over the years, Diskit has become Nubra's commercial hub and the main attraction in the village is the Diskit Gompa, a monastery perched high above the town on a ridge. The place has a cluster of prayer halls and if you arrive by dawn, you can catch the chanting and other rituals. In another hall, there stands a deity brandishing the mummified head and arm of a mongol soldier. Getting entry to this hall is a little cumbersome unless you have a Ladakhi guide with you. A narrow footpath behind the monastery leads to a ruined watchtower where you can get stunning views of the Shyok Valley.

About 10 km west of Diskit lies the Hunder Village. This is the perfect spot for travellers who like a laid back vibe. There is a small monastery here known as Chamba. From Hundar Village, travellers can opt for a day trip to Turok, a 90 km drive over metalled road that covers some spectacular visas. Famed for its apricots, you can stroll around the village and hang out in the gompas.
Continue up the valley and pause at Terisha Tso, a small mountain lake completely hidden by jagged ridges. There is a small shrine here which looks gorgeous under the cloudless skies. The nearby Panamik is a tourist trap and pretty much marks the end of the valley.

Beauty Never Hides

We have been modifying the way we look for centuries. When people hear the term breast plastic surgery all too often they picture a woman with pushed up, too-round breasts, a  stereotypical image that’s been impressed into the public mind and undoubtedly a misleading one. Like life, relationships and health, breasts are much more complicated than a two-sided argument. Most people realize you’ve had plastic surgery only after you tell them.

People can say that appearances don’t matter all they want, but honestly, even if we all lived in a world completely devoid of air brushing and global super models, what you choose to do with your own body would still be entirely your choice. At the end of the day, if increasing your bust size by a cup or two makes you feel good, my advice would be, go for it. This is unquestionably a major step for most women, and often a positive one.

An important factor to consider plastic surgery is, a woman’s breasts naturally change over time, and hence breast augmentation surgery helps in retaining the shape and look a woman desires for long. Breast that looked good at age 22 may no longer look good on the same woman after she has had children, breastfed, or grown older.

There are no pills, topical creams, injections or other non-surgical procedures that serve as alternatives to breast augmentation. Without surgical placement of a breast implant, there are no other options to achieve more fullness or better shape of your breasts. Good surgeons will help women assess whether their expectations and reasons for wanting breast implant surgery are realistic. There are many surgery options to improve your appearance. When you talk to a surgeon, be open about what you want, but be willing to listen to his or her recommendations. Your surgeon may recommend a different procedure to achieve a similar result.

Studies have shown that breast implants can help boost self-esteem, body image, and sexual satisfaction. When people see you take a step forward towards a happier life, you motivate others to do the same helping them gain positivity.

The Most Extreme Road Trips Across the World

Traversing these roads will inspire awe and wonder for those willing to forego discomforts and heart stopping moments that they entail. Whether you are gazing out through a muddy, dirt smacked window of a bus, its motors revving desperately to clear a narrow road or gliding through an endless stretch of sand on a SUV, these roads are ensure that you are in for a white-knuckle adventure.

Karakoram Highway, Pakistan and China :- A centuries old trail that was part of the famed trading route known as Silk road. The Karakoram Highway is the world's highest altitude paved international road. The 1200 km route slices through the majestic Karakoram Range and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery and top notch hiking and trekking spots. The KKH is a stunning feat of engineering and a poignant reminder of the more 1000 people who were killed during its construction. The road stretches from Abbottabad in Pakistan to Kashgar in China.

Canning Stock Route, Australia :- Crossing the rugged and unforgiving Canning Stock Route is a modern day explorer's ultimate dream. This is one of the most secluded and remote tracks in the world and gives off a brutal, take-no-prisoners vibe. Those who are ready to bear the brunt of this arduous journey will have the rare chance to interact with the indigenous people of this isolated land. The Nguarra, Martu and Tjurabalan are the custodians of this desolate land and still live along the route. A trip through the Canning Stock Route is a chance to explore the rock art sites that dates back to thousands of years and get a glimpse of the fascinating culture of the locals.

North Yungas Road, Bolivia :- Well, the North Yungas Road is referred to as the "Death Road" for nothing. This infamous route that connects La Paz to the rainforests of Yungas region is a series of dizzying turns flanked by almost 90 degree drop cliffs on either side. Unsurprisingly, the route is notorious for accidents (almost 200 people used die to every year on the route) and the Bolivian government took steps to modernise the stretch in 2007 by building a new track which bypasses much of the original road. However, due to the original track's infamy, it remains an extremely popular tourist attraction.

Manali-Leh Highway, India :- Flanked by stunning landscapes that alternate between towering snow capped mountains and arid plains, traversing this 490 km stretch is going to be one of the memorable rides of your life. Traffic along the highway ascends and descends through narrow passes, fords through rivers and glacial melts which results in some serious white knuckle moments but gives you the chance to capture some of the most awe inspiring vistas on the planet. If you are planning to take on this stretch and looking for a hotel in Manali, you're in luck as most hotels in India allow you to an online hotel booking.

Trans Sahara Highway, Nigeria :- The ultimate desert adventure, this 4500 km highway sprawls 3 countries and tests your mettle and guts like no other stretch on earth. The road attracts the brave, the crazy and the foolhardy in droves and is a chance to soak in the spellbinding vistas of the Sahara. Certain sections of the road are plagued by security risks but the biggest danger is going head to head with one of the harshest environments on the planet.

City of the Dead - Cairo

Naema Zaki and her five children were forced to make the cemetery in Cairo's City of the Dead their permanent home due to shortage of housing real estate. Initially, they started living in the cemetery as it was an inexpensive and a temporary way to tide over hard times. But soon they realized they wanted to continue living there as the neighbours were kind and loving, unlike other Cairenes. For most people, the City of the Dead is a creepy, foreboding and mysterious area. Even most Cairenes have little understanding about the vast maze of cemeteries that stretch out in the base of the Moqattam Hills.
This is Cairo's el-Arafa necropolis, or commonly known as "City of the Dead". The cemeteries are more than 700 years old and today more than five million live amongst the tombs. Nobody is sure on how many people live amongst the tombs. Most of the tombs are surrounded by a walled compound, some even have buildings and fountains. All of them have two covered stairways - one for men and other for women - that lead to the crypts holding the remains of extended families. Some of the tombs are marbled and maintained in pristine condition while others are decrepit and crumbling.

Amongst these massive cemeteries lives a community of urban poor Egyptians who has formed their own separate society. There are 5 major cemeteries in the region : Northern Cemetery, Bab el Nasr Cemetery, the Southern Cemetery, the Cemetery of the Great and Bab el Wazir Cemetery. The Northern Cemetery is undeniably creepy with dozens of mausoleums rising from an ocean of dwellings along the Cairo Airport road. Egyptians have a tradition of building their graves in the form of a room as a means of spending time with their dead (some mourn the dead for 40 days). By local standards, these are poor but decent neighbourhoods with electricity, running water and shops.

Though these are not by means risky quarters, it is best to exercise some caution while visiting the area. Make sure not to flaunt your money or jewellery and dress modestly; women are adviced to have a male escort and if possible, wear a headscarf. In any case, leave the cemeteries before dark or you might end up getting lost in one of the numerous labyrinthine like alleys. Also, stay clear of the eastern part of the cemeteries which are far riskier slums. If you are looking for cheap flight tickets to Cairo, make sure to search multiple portals before you make your booking. Online air ticket booking to Cairo can be done through any of the major online travel portals.

The Incredible Ruins of Hampi

Hampi was the capital city of the Vijayanagar Empire for almost two centuries (14-16th century) before it fell to the combined armies of five Deccan sultanates. The city was plundered for months and was finally abandoned to be consumed by the wilderness. Centuries later, Hampi was discovered by English archaeologists who unearthed stunning temples and sculptures. Today, Hampi is declared as a UNESCO's World Heritage Site and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Travellers to Hampi are struck by the sheer grandeur and magnificence of the ruins, monuments and the temples. The town is located around 350 km north of Bangalore and is spread across more than 25 square kilometers. There are numerous bus ticket booking services which allows you to book online bus tickets between the cities quickly and easily. Much of ruins are concentrated along the road that connects Kamalapura to Hampi.

The Sacred Center is usually where visitors begin their exploration of the town. The area is a concentration of buildings that includes the famed Virupaksha Temple. This functioning temple features an iconic complex with 9 tiered high gopuram. Make sure not to miss the inverted image of the gopuram on a stone wall created due to a pin-hole effect as the sun's rays pass through a slit in the wall. Outside the complex lies the Hampi Bazaar Street where you will find souvenir shops and a few restaurants.

South of the Sacred Center lies the Royal Center which was the former site of the royal citadel of the Vijayanagar kings. The monuments here are segregated as Royal Enclosure, Zenana Enclosure (the women's complex), Danaik's Enclosure and Nobleman's Quarter. The Zenana Enclosure depicts a Lotus Palace designed with a blend of Islamic and Hindu architectural elements. When exploring the area, keep an eye out for an underground Shiva temple, the fallen stone doors, the uniquely designed Bhojanshala, the circular granaries and the Hazara Rama Temple.

Next up is the Islamic Quarter which served as the residential area for the muslim officers in Vijayanagara army. The monuments here include the Talarigatta Gateway and Ahmed Khan's mosque. The riverside Hampi Ruins lie on the southern bank of the Tungabhadra and features an array of Shiv Ling sculpted out of flat rocks and a few smaller temples.

If you have time to see only one monument in Hampi, then make it the Vitthala Temple. The temple complex comprises of an intricate set of gateways, mandapas and shrines, all of which are contained in a massive fortress like outer wall. On entering the eastern gate, you will see the iconic stone chariot which has become synonymous with Hampi, thanks to its portrayal in numerous tourism promotions.

The chariot might seems like it was sculpted out of a single slab of stone but it is multiple components that have been skillfully joined together to camouflage the joints. The four stone wheels are mobile and they appear to have been drawn by a pair of elephants. In front of the chariot lies the maha-mandapa of the primary temple. The pillars of the mandapa produce musical notes when tapped but its now prohibited in order to reduce damage to the monument.

Growing Trend of Plastic Surgery in Dubai and Worldwide
